CALLING ALL FILM FANATICS
For those curious, here's this semester's schedule for City Lights (IU's film series). As is the university standard, I didn't see any information for this until several of the films had already been shown. I would've liked to have seen Knife In The Water, but whatever. The Harold Lloyd night this friday should be fun. I still have yet to see any of his stuff. Also, it's nice that they're showing Nashville, but it would've been awesome if they'd managed to snag a print of one of Altman's many movies that have been unavailable since the early days of VHS (Brewster McCloud, anyone?) rather than the one Altman film that I know almost by heart.

Chess Fever is really cute. There's kittens.

Vivre Sa Vie is one of my favorite films of all time.

The bride of frankenstein is off the hook.

Um, I hadn't even heard of this film series. How come the only ones I thought were shown were the one-a-month at the IMU and the Ryder?

I saw they were showing Herzog's Nosferatu. You've never seen any Herzog, right? Well, in honor of our mutual favorite holiday, we should go. Also, I love this movie.

Hope you got LOADS done last night. I chilled on my newly-assembled futon, LOVING LIFE.

You should see all of these, if you can. Don't miss Battleship Potemkin, it doesn't get screened all that often and it's a basic requirement (I've been holding out to see it in a theater and still haven't been able to).

Tell me which one's you're going to see and I'll watch them the same night, and we can talk about them with Todd.
